Lisa Maggiore is the author of Ava the Monster Slayer; A Warrior Who Wears Glasses and its sequel Ava the Monster Slayer; Cousin Power. Lisa was a social worker for twenty years and spent ten years working in a Chicago Public School. Lisa resides in Chicago with her family, and when she’s not writing loves to travel, wrangle her teenagers to hang out with her, and bike.
